Welcome to the Baraza: how it works and the house rules
Administrator
The Baraza is where Kenyan vehicle owners, fleet managers and mechanics share what they know: service schedules that work on our roads, faults and how they were fixed, and what to look for before buying.
Asking a good question
- Name the vehicle: make, model, year, engine and mileage. "2016 Fielder 1.5, 95,000 km" gets far better answers than "my car".
- Describe what happens: when it started, whether it's worse cold or hot, any warning lights, and what has already been checked or replaced.
- Add a photo or a short video of the part, the dashboard or the sound. Use the Photo and Video buttons in the editor.
- Mark the best answer once your problem is solved, so the next person finds the fix quickly.
House rules
- Be respectful. Disagree with the advice, not the person.
- No adverts, prices for your own services, phone numbers or shop links. Verified garages carry a badge instead.
- Keep reviews of garages and mechanics fair and factual.
- Blur number plates and faces you don't want shared.
