How CarLog service reminders work
CarLog works out when each service is next due, so you don't have to remember. Here's how.
Due by distance, time or both
Each service type has an interval, for example an oil change every 5,000 km or 6 months. When a service is recorded, CarLog calculates the next due mileage and date. Whichever comes first counts.
Keep the mileage up to date
Distance reminders are only as good as the odometer readings. Each service record includes the odometer, and you can update a vehicle's mileage at any time with Edit vehicle on its page.
Due soon and overdue
- Due soon: you're getting close to the next service.
- Overdue: the distance or date has passed.
You'll see both on your dashboard, and with an active subscription you'll also get reminders.
Records from your garage
If a garage or mechanic logs work on your vehicle, you'll be asked to approve it. Once approved, it counts towards the vehicle's history and the next due dates. Records you enter yourself are approved straight away.
Selling the car
Transfer the vehicle to the buyer in CarLog and its full history goes with it. A documented history helps you sell faster and for a better price.
