Toyota Premio and Allion: service schedule for the family saloons
Administrator
The Premio and its twin, the Allion, share engines and running gear. Most in Kenya (2007 onwards) have a 1.5, 1.8 or 2.0 litre petrol engine with a timing chain and a CVT. Your owner's manual has the exact figures for your car.
Regular service
- Engine oil and filter every 5,000 km in town or on rough roads, up to 10,000 km on the highway, with the grade in the manual.
- Air filter checked at each service; cabin filter every 20,000 km.
- CVT fluid about every 40,000 km with Toyota CVT Fluid FE, not ordinary ATF.
- Brake fluid every 2 years and coolant at the interval in the manual.
- Spark plugs around 100,000 km (iridium).
Worth checking as they age
- Front suspension links and bushes: knocking on rough roads.
- Engine mounts: vibration at idle in D.
- Rear shock absorbers if the car often carries a full load.
- The CVT: a whine or judder means it's time for a fluid change and a check, not a guess.
Premios and Allions keep their value well. A full service history in CarLog helps you get a fair price when you sell.
